BMJ Best Practice

The British Medical Journal rebuilt Best Practice from the ground up – it’s now ranked one of the best clinical decision support tools for professionals worldwide.

User research informed design. Prior to sprint, new features were prototyped and tested with doctors in hospitals throughout the UK.

Brand evolution was part of my responsibilities – updating the logo for use on mobile, typography and colour ways.

I shared the UI designs with stakeholders in InVision and front-end developers in Zeplin.

These UI / interaction designs were used to create a Material design prototype, enabling usability review before sprint planning.

Best Practice MVP was launched on October 2017 – taking 3 dev teams, 28 sprints = 1 year.
